It is important to give the world the best of you, not what’s left of you. So, I take my self-care and alone time very seriously. I make sure to tend to my thoughts, anxieties, fears and emotions instead of suppressing them, especially during such a stressful time. One way to do that is with a licensed professional. My therapist has been such a blessing throughout Covid and going to therapy is like brushing your teeth, but for your brain. I also make sure to move, the hardest part is just getting there. Yoga and boxing have also served as a yin and yang for me physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It’s important for us all to find what works for us and what we need as individuals.

Her transparency of just wanting to get out for a night and experience joy was something I could resonate with.”
